Who's actually willing to participate here? I say cancel the moi and nabeta as primary targets, 1 to 1 is alright but not very realistic hunting invasives on same days that we're hunting pelagics. 6lb qualifier is cool Jrs only if you participate  PRIMARY TARGETS: Pelagics, Mu, uku, jacks, roi, toa'u, ta'ape. Scores for fish & weight based on the makahiki format. Who's down? when we going start?

Id be in but i rarely ever get to blue waterfor the pelajes... 99% of my dives are from shore.

I think u can easiky do a 1-1 on the invasives.. i seen pix of your stringers.. just get your qualifying amounts and everything above that is limit on non invasives till u get more.

no offense K1...but that is too easy for you....it would be skewed to the advantage of he who can hold his breathe the longest...sort of...you guys know what I mean.

one Opelu contest...now that would be something...good grinds, good chum, you not hurting any reef, its different from invasives, get plenty out there accessible to everyone...and most importantly, its not something that any of us hunt regularly so no one person has an advantage.

My vote is for a 2 month Makahiki style strictly pelagic tourney. Everyone (and island) is equal out there, depth skill is of no concern, cannot remotely dent the pelagic population, and the reef is safe...

Not going to say I like this idea (I do) as I am waiting for "debbie downer" aka "Thread Killer" aka DT to soot down anything anyone suggests and then we all get board and leave.

set it up fins...sounds like fun!

An aquahunters Makahiki style would be fun (points and weight bonus) which each competitor making his own tourney thread w/ pics & video of catches. That would be fun to see.
