Dove west side with a friend and invited iELLESS. we hit up a spot that we knew had a school of papio running for
the past week hoping to find something following
the school if not
the palu for some uku. On nthe way out was kinda dead, not even
the mu pile was around. We finally found
the school so i reached down for my spoon and it was gone. iELLESS dropped down and shot one and picked up his first papio and was really happy. So we went out to a little farther and started to palu and a school of opelu came out of nowhere, but not much else. We swam around and decided to find
the school again. I went down to check out a hole..nothing.. so i popped out and checked if
the mu's came around. No luck, but i saw something out of
the corner of my eye big and shiny. i slowly turned towards it it came in a little closer got in good range. Right when i took
the shot it got spooked, but i hit it. i knew it was a bad shot and hoped it would hold. it took me for
the ride of my life, ripping line out of my reel like noting and dragging me under an easy 30-40 yards. iELLESS and my friend came over to help and put a second shot in it. then a kill shot.
The horrible belly shot held on by just
the skin.
We took it to Roys and
the official weight was 70 LBS and it came out to be 2.4 LBS shy of a
state record. I was kinda sick but it was a great day and and none of
the fish went to waste. Thanks to iElLESS and Roland for a fun day.

Horrible belly shot but luckily it held up
At this spot i also shot a 45 LB kahala and Roland shot a 40 LB Kahala last week Wed. Photo of both are supposed to be up a Roys next week but i only have theses one for now.
