cannot understand why people like rip off other people when they diving. was diving with a friend today in kapalua n wen we came back his dive bag was snatched from the back of the truck. y people like steal from d braders n sisters ub de werld... i sus di toi awon dis boi. to who ever reading this.... eh!?! y you stole my frens dive bag??!?!?!....

A 55" Hybrid Wong and a dive bag full of my dive gear (fiberglass blades, dive watch, etc) got stolen out of my truck once and the door lock completely demolished. I never could unlock my truck from the drivers side again. Happened in Hawaii Kai.

Hate it.

Anything and everything that's not nailed down. And some things that are nailed down, including the nails.

I used to hide my slippers in the rocks or bushes then get them after the dive. Once at Kakaako someone stole my "locals" style slippers from inside the rocks. Now I clip them to the float.

Yep, most times it's the guys hanging out in the area watching you go out. They know as soon as you're far offshore your car is easy pickings because you can't come back in to stop them.

Somebody needs to do something about this. The police here are for the most part, worthless.

I've always thought about doing some vigilante style baiting and justice dishing.

A couple of guys w paint ball guns (full FPS speed)/bats/gopros dropped off in the dawn darkness at say Yoks in the bushes. 2-4 hours later, one of us with a touristy car shows up loaded w gear, parks near the bushes where two of us are hiding, then proceeds to get ready for a dive making sure surrounding people sees a nice DSLR camera being put in the trunk, then swims out for a dive.

Boom! Paintball, bats and gopro time.

Sigh, one can dream...
