I realize this is fishing question but I wanted to take my kids Halalu bamboo fishing this coming weekend. Does anyone know what the best bait is?

Thanks everyone,
808 Dad

Thanks stylee1. I also tried whipping with the blue/green strips but wanted to take my kids bamboo fishing. Not sure what is bitting. I heard the Halalu does not like shrimp or ika.

use aku bely for bait and use ahi blood mixed with a little sand for palu to keep them in reach of the bamboo. we usually use about a pound of blood. safeway sells the blood meat pretty cheap but you gotta go early in the morning to get it before everyone snags it.

No need bait. Bamboo pole, with 6# test izlon litre, and a gold hook. Just jig the hook, guarantee catch

last sunday i managed to GRAB an akule on the way back in off a kayak....still alive....but i neva like chance em so its gonna be bait now...i figure it was either sick or got chased up or sumthin but theres no harm in being cautious
